Meet the Maker
WarBelt began five years ago at my dining room table—a
simple hobby born from curiosity that quickly became a full-time passion.
After 20 years of dedicated service in the Marine Corps, I
discovered leathercraft about three years before transitioning out—purely by
chance when an algorithm recommended a video one day. That single video sparked
something profound. What began as curiosity and the challenge of mastering a
new skill quickly became a calming, therapeutic outlet amid the demands of
active duty. In leathercraft, I found a meditative way to tinker, innovate,
pursue excellence daily, and—most importantly—prepare to keep serving others
even after hanging up the uniform. A brief but soul-recharging sabbatical
sailing the coast helped solidify that path, leading me to pursue this craft
full-time.
WarBelt is that vehicle. Every belt, wallet, holster, and
custom piece you see here was inspired by real conversations—ideas from
friends, family, fellow veterans, clients, and now you. I thrive on those
moments when a new challenge comes in: a unique design request that pushes my
skills and forces me to innovate. It’s equal parts exciting and a little
nerve-wracking, and that’s exactly why I love it.
As a veteran-owned, one-man shop, I handcraft each item with
the same discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to quality that the
Corps instilled in me. Using premium materials and time-tested techniques, I
create durable, functional leather goods built to last—whether you’re carrying
them on duty, on the water, or in everyday life.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to do meaningful work that
keeps me growing while helping you solve a problem, carry what matters, or
simply own something made with care.
So go ahead—challenge me with your ideas. Let’s create
something special together.
Thank you for being here.
